Artists Statement

The interesting process that takes place while creating my work takes a lot of time mentally and physically to create and record what I call abstract language or shadow figures.  

 

Abstract language is a group of lines that create symbols and hieroglyphics that represent past memories, feelings, thoughts or specific people that are created with mixed materials that give texturized appearance to the composition. 

 

The shadow figures I create in certain paintings and portraits are figures that represent different versions of myself or other interesting people that I have experienced in my life or that have inspired me.
